About Sean

Scientist & Teacher

After receiving my Bachelors Degree in Physics from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA I moved to Philadelphia to continue my studies. I eventually received my Masters in 2019 and my Ph.D. in 2023. My Ph.D. thesis focused on the design and analysis of computational models of star formation.

I have loved physics for a very long time, and during my time as a TA I was proud to also discover my love and talent for teaching others. My method of teaching extends beyond the typical "memorize, cram, test, forget" cycle that I believe many students find themselves in. I prefer to construct a method of study that builds from solid problem solving fundamentals which allows students to approach ANY physics problem they encounter with confidence.

Beyond physics, I love reading (mostly sci-fi and fantasy with some non-fiction sprinkled in), running, and programming.
